Discovery Solar Panels

Solar panels, some of the oldest methods of heating, solar energy, water, salt and yeast. Humanity has made great advances in this technology, the history of the solar panels, it is interesting to look back and see where it all began.

Becquerel, French physicist, discovered the photovoltaic effect in 1839. It is a process where sunlight into electricity in secret cells. A modern version of William Grylls Adams in 1876, when he discovered that selenium, an electric current when exposed to light. Founded in 1883 by Charles Fritts built the first selenium cell, which is a semiconductor and a thin layer of gold.

Albert Einstein received the Nobel Prize for physics phenomena of photo-voltaic cells work in 1921. Russell Ohl invented the first silicon cell. Gerald Pearson, Calvin Fuller and Darryl Chapin, American researchers have developed a mobile phone was able to convert six percent efficiency in direct sunlight. Banda silicone instead, put them in direct sunlight, and free electrons. They have returned electricity and created the first panel.

Solar panels at Bell Laboratories in New York announced its prototype solar cell research and funding. The first attempt was a support center in 1955. The technology was developed under the leadership of the army, the cells become a source of energy for spacecraft in space.

In 1970, Dr. Elliot Berman has created a less expensive material for the cell to get the price that was available on offshore platforms and light. Coast Guard and the railroads began to use it. It was used for water, power radios, TVs and light.

Solar panels and shows the story of a genius of mankind, that will take us to where we are today, we can install in the home can be exploited for electricity and heat to our needs for electricity. Technology will continue to contribute to humanity continues to find ways to protect the environment.
