Solar Panels

Solar panels , some of the oldest methods for home solar, water, salt and baking. Humanity has made great strides in this technology, the history of solar panels, it is interesting to look back and see where it all began.

Becquerel, French physicist, discovered the photovoltaic effect in 1839. It is the process by which sunlight into electricity underground cells. The modern version goes back to William Grylls Adams in 1876, when he discovered that selenium is generated electrical current when exposed to light. In 1883, Charles Fritts built the first cell with selenium, a semiconductor and a thin layer of gold.

Albert Einstein received the Nobel Prize in physics for work on the photoelectric effect in 1921. Russell Ohl invented the first silicon cell. Gerald Pearson, Calvin Fuller and Darryl Chapin, U.S. scientists have designed a cell phone was able to convert six percent efficiency with direct sunlight. Silicone band placed, put them in direct sunlight, and free electrons. They turned the electricity and created the first panel.

Solar panels Bell Laboratories in New York announced its prototype solar cell research and funding. The first attempt was a help desk in 1955. The technology was developed under the leadership of the army, the cells become a source of energy for spacecraft in space.

In 1970, Dr. Elliot Berman has created a cell in a cheaper material to bring it at a price that was available for use on offshore platforms and light. The Coast Guard and railroads began to use it. It was then used for pumping water, powering radios, televisions and lights.

Solar panels, and the story shows the genius of humanity to bring us where we are today, we can install in the home can be exploited for electricity and heat to our needs for electricity. Technology will continue to contribute to the human race has continued to find ways to be environmentally conscious.
